murmur is a Mac app by Polina Bobrova. This page covers the app and this website.
The Mac app
The app works on your computer. Recordings, transcripts, edits, summaries, and any API keys you add stay on your Mac. There is no account, no database, and no analytics in the app. I cannot see your files.
If you use a summary with a key you already have, that request goes to the service behind the key, under that service's rules. murmur does not send it to me.
This website
The site is a page about the app, with a download. I do not ask for an account or an email here.
If you accept, the site uses Microsoft Clarity to see how people move around the page. Clarity can set cookies, measure visits, and record a session of the page (not the Mac app). Microsoft processes that. Their privacy statement is on microsoft.com.
Your Accept or Decline choice is stored in this browser with localStorage, so the banner does not keep coming back. If you decline, I still remember that choice on this device. You can clear this site's data in your browser if you want to choose again.
Hosting and the download file sit on GitHub. GitHub may see technical data such as an IP address when you load the page or download the app, under GitHub's own terms.
